Russia says Ukraine attacked its energy infrastructure six times in past day

The Russian Defence Ministry said on Monday that Ukraine had attacked Russian energy infrastructure six times over the previous day, despite a U.S.-brokered moratorium on strikes on energy facilities.

The ministry said Ukrainian strikes had hit power facilities and electrical substations in Russia's Rostov, Voronezh and Bryansk regions, as well as in the Ukrainian regions of Kherson and Donetsk, parts of which Moscow controls.

Reuters was unable to verify the reports of the strikes. Ukraine has made similar accusations against Russia since the U.S.-backed moratorium was approved.
